I have a professional question to ask when you are at liberty to discuss it, concerning Maintenance.

I am in the process of gathering a warden consensus on placing a fabrication lab in the Maintenance bay - primarily for the recycling of waste products and refurbishing them into other uses. Wood, plastics, and metals chiefly. We could construct a modeling and build screen that could be made easily accessible to the rest of the ship.

Do you believe this project could be of use to you?

Are you kidding? Yeah, that sounds fantastic. And it'd make us that much more self-sufficient. Is this technology that you have in your own place and time, again?

Excellent. I will make the request through my own warden and will hopefully receive the Admiral's approval.

Yes. I am also led to believe that D'vana Tendi has similar fabrication; her's is called a replicator.

Oh, hey Thrawn. Unfortunately, we've gotten through most of our orders already, from the last disaster. I don't think too much got broken during the flood.

Unless you mean new projects...?

Mmhmm. I don't have much in the way of new projects, either. And I know Florian doesn't want me to take on any of yours for...well, I don't know how long. Hopefully not too long, I like your ideas.

But I do have one thing I've been trying to do. Could you meet me after work tomorrow? The stove in my cabin is being finicky and I want to give it a real workover, make sure it's cooking evenly. I know it's not much, but would you be interested in helping me out with it?

[Thrawn is professional and courteous - Fred and her position are one he respects. But he cannot help but feel a lingering stress in the back of his mind that if he is not useful, he will stagnate and disappear.

Not that he was going to say no, anyway. She is his superior.]
